Fall appeared today at Laconia CC. Twenty-five teams, 100 players, made their way to the links to participate in the lase event of the season for the NHC/NEPGA. The sun peaked in and out, the clouds won most of the time, and the wind cooled you to the bone. It was a beautiful fall day to play some golf.
The Professional contest saw home professional, Todd Rollins, shoot a 3 under par 69 to take first place. Todd made 4 birdies and 1 lone bogie in his round. Brett Smestad of Rochester came in at 2 under par 70 to come in second. Nick Desjardins of Nashua came in with an even par 72 to place third. Jay Pollini of Ridgewood shot 74 to come in fourth. Six players came in at 75 to tie for 5th. They were: Dan Wilkins of Laconia, Dan Kish of Atkinson, Jim Gunnare of Whip Poor Will, Vince Molesky of Stonebridge, Chris Mowers of Nippo Lake, and Chris Houston of Bald Peak.
The team contest of 1 BB Gross & 1 BB Net saw the team from Laconia, led by Rollins, come in with an impressive 16 under par 128. Todd’s team consisted of Tom Dore, Tim Callahan, and Tim French. Second place went to the team from Hoodkroft led by Eric Soderman and his ams, Jim Tokanel, Brian Nadeau, and Ryan Curtin. Third place went to the team from Ridgewood and fourth place went to the team from Derryfield.
This concludes the 2021 season of the NHC/NEPGA events. I would like to thank all the pros and amateurs for participating in the events all season. The players make the events successful. I would especially thank all the host facilities throughout the year. The NHC is very fortunate to have the number of courses that allow us to host our events at their clubs. Thank you, thank you, thank you. We have something very special in NH and I hope to continue it far into the future. Can’t wait for the 2022 season. I hope you all enjoy your winter!
