NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass- The Cape Cod Chapter Pro-Am circuit visited new course on Thursday as Allendale CC played host to the Chapter.
15 teams from across the Chapter showed up to play in the event, but Brad Sherman and his team from the 15th Golf Club separated themselves from the pack shooting a winning score of 16-under 128 to win by five shots.
The team of Sherman, Peter Hartmann, Chris Kirrane, and Dominic Macone had themselves quite the day. Hartmann finished in a tie for first place in the Low Amateur competition, tying Allendale CC’s Andy Horvitz at 1-over 73. Dominic Macone had the highlight of the tournament making his 2nd career hole-in-one on the 14th hole.
In a tie for second place at 9-under were the teams from Ocean’s Edge and Sandwich Hollows GC, led by Shayne Sakson and Tom Tobey. In a tie for fourth place was The Bay Club and John Paesani as well as the host team from Allendale CC led by Bob Giusti.
Shayne Sakson finished as the low professional firing a round of 3-under par 69. Sakson provided plenty of firepower recording an eagle and four birdies on his round to win by four shots. This was Sakson’s second victory of the season, also wining at the Miacomet Pro-Am.
The Bay Club’s Ben Egan finished in second place at 1-over par, followed by a three way tie for third place between Rusty Gunnarson (Rochester GC), Bob Giusti, and Tom Tobey
