SHARON, MASS – The Cape Club of Sharon exuded its splendor on Monday, serving as the prestigious venue for the NEPGA Stroke Play Series #2. Despite the humid conditions in Sharon that day, the course proved resilient and showcased its pristine playing conditions throughout the event.

Robert Bruso, PGA from Worcester Country Club, clinched a podium finish with an outstanding performance, posting a remarkable score of 5-under par highlighted by seven birdies to secure first place in the competition.

Bruso commenced his round with impressive momentum, swiftly notching three birdies on the front 9 to reach 1-under through his opening nine holes. His proficiency continued on the back 9, where he elevated his game further to finish 4-under, adding four more birdies to his tally. Bruso concluded the day with a stellar 5-under par 67.

Liam Friedman, PGA of Wollaston Golf Club and Frank Leja, PGA from The Club at New Seabury shared the spotlight by tying for second place, each carding an impressive 3-under par 69. Friedman secured 6 birdies alongside 3 bogeys, while Leja, with slightly fewer birdies at 3, managed to par the remaining 15 holes.
