The rainy days have been frequent this month, but not today. A hot steamy day that we are used to in July greeted the players for the NHC/NEPGA Pro Lady Championship at the beautiful Nashua Country Club today, Monday, July 26th. Twenty PGA Professionals and team of 3 ladies participated in the 2 BB Gross or 2 BB Net format.

The pro division saw host Professional, Jason Malcolm come in with an even par 71 to win that division. He made 3 bogies on the front to shoot 39, but he came back with 3 birdies and no bogies on the back to shoot that score. Coming in 2nd with a 2 0ver 73 was Jason Sedan of Lake Winnipesaukee. Player of the year point leader, Dan Kish of Atkinson,  tied for 3rd with Pembroke Pines Ben Stone. They came in with 3 over 74’s. Rounding out the top 10: tied for 5th Jay Pollini and Chris Mowers with 75’s. Tying for 7th were Cory Mansfield, Rich Thibeault, and Chris Houston, they all shot 76. In the 10th spot was Vince Molesky with a 77.

In the team gross division, which crowns the NHC/NEPGA Pro Lady Champions, the team led by host pro from Nashua, Jason Malcolm, came away with the win. They shot a 1 over 143 in the 2 BB Gross contest. His playing partners were Kerry Dolan, Meg Watson, and Ann Vermette. Second place went to the team from Atkinson led by Dan Kish with the team of Allison Wilkins, Barb Hecimovich, and Kristen Diamond. They ended up with a 144, 1 stroke behind the winners.

In the net division, which also was a 2 BB contest, the team from Sky Meadow by professional Joel St. Laurent came in with a 9 under par score to take that contest. His team consisted of his wife, Holly St. Laurent, Lauren Erikson, and Cynthia Hunter. Coming in second on the net side was the team from Nippo Lake with Pro Chris Mowers and team mates Joan Cyr, June Ferland, and Lisa Strong.

Next week the circuit makes a stop at Derryfield CC for a pro am. August 9 & 10 is the NHC/NEPGA Professional Championship at North Conway CC.
