STOW, Mass. – The 2025 New England PGA Jr League Section Championship, day one qualifier portion took place Monday, August 4th at Stow Acres Country Club in Stow, Massachusetts.
Over 420 players, making up 53 (29 13U and 24 17U) Jr. League Teams came out to compete! This is the largest Jr League Section Championship in the New England PGA Section’s history beating out the previous years event by nearly 66 players.
The first day of competition featured teams competing in a two-person aggregate stroke play scramble format, combining the PGA Jr. League pillars of teamwork, strategy, and fun.
The top teams from each Day 1 pool advanced to Day 2 for a shot at the Section title. Day 2 club representation included: Button Hole Golf Course, JW Parks Golf Course, Burlington Country Club, Atkinson Country Club, Mount Pleasant Country Club, Hyannis Country Club, and Bradford Country Club.
All six of the New England PGA Chapters were represented on the second day of the tournament. The New England PGA Section consists of six chapters: Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, Rhode Island, and Cape Cod. Each chapter brought forward their best teams, all of whom battled through local league play to reach this event.
From first time participants to seasoned returners, the atmosphere was one of development and pride in representing their local course on a big stage.
Day 2 semi-finals included a change in format, back to the original junior league match play scramble to figure out who was advancing to the championship matches!
The teams that came out on top were:
