Dear New Hampshire Chapter Members,

It is with great pride that I announce the 2025 New Hampshire Chapter Award Winners, recognizing outstanding professionals whose contributions continue to elevate the game of golf in our state. This year, we are especially honored to recognize Ken Hamel, PGA of Stonebridge Country Club as the 2025 Golf Professional of the Year.

Ken’s career is a testament to leadership, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to both the game and the PGA community. A PGA Member since 2000, Ken’s second career in the golf industry began at Duston Country Club, where he cultivated a thriving golf environment and built lifelong relationships. Ken’s first Head Professional job came at Crotched Mountain Golf Club, where he was proud to more than double the membership in his time at the facility. His longest tenure came at Stonebridge Country Club where he served as Head Golf Professional from 2014-2019 and once again in 2024. He transformed the club into one of the premier golf destinations in the region, with increased participation, record-setting rounds, and an outstanding tournament and league schedule.

Beyond his work at the club level, Ken has been a pillar of the Chapter. He has served on the Chapter Board for many years in multiple roles and most notably served as the Chapter Operations Manager for four season. Ken brought great professionalism and joy to the role and was instrumental in strengthening the Chapter’s operations, growing its professional events, and mentoring future leaders in the golf industry. His passion for service was inspired in part by the late Joe Clark Sr., a founder of the NH Chapter, and Ken has worked tirelessly to carry on that legacy.

Ken’s contributions extend well beyond the golf course. He is currently in his 40th season as a basketball referee and has refereed three State Finals games. He has also volunteered his time on the NH IAABO Board of Directors.

As Ken prepares to retire after a remarkable career, we are grateful for the decades of service, leadership, and passion he has shared with the NH Chapter. His influence will be felt for years to come, and we look forward to having him as a player in our Pro-Ams!

In addition to recognizing Ken, we are thrilled to celebrate the achievements of these outstanding professionals:

Please me in celebrating these outstanding professionals throughout the 2025 season and we look forward to officially honoring them at the 2025 Awards Banquet this fall.

Respectfully,

Phil Davis, PGA
