Dear Vermont Chapter Members,
It is with great pride that I announce the 2025 Vermont Chapter PGA Award Winners, recognizing the exceptional professionals who continue to make a lasting impact on the game of golf in our state. This year, we are especially honored to recognize Mike Zaranek of Brattleboro Country Club as the 2025 Golf Professional of the Year.
Mike’s career as a golf professional spans over thirty years, during which he has established himself as a true ambassador for the game. Beyond his work at Brattleboro Country Club, Mike has been deeply involved in service to both the Vermont and Western Massachusetts Chapters, as well as the Connecticut and New England Sections. He has previously served as Secretary-Treasurer, and Vice President of the Vermont Chapter, as well as President of the Western Massachusetts Chapter. His continued contributions on the New England Section PGA Tournament and Education Committees further reflect his commitment to the Association.
Mike’s leadership is defined by his ability to inspire those around him. He leads by example, making every golfer, staff member, and colleague feel heard, valued, and welcomed. Whether he is mentoring young professionals, playing in chapter events, or organizing programs to introduce new players to the game, his passion for golf is evident in everything he does.
His efforts to grow the game extend far beyond his club. Mike has created successful junior golf camps, clinics for men and women, and multi-day golf schools for players of all skill levels. He has worked with local organizations such as the Brattleboro Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club to promote golf within the community and has supported charitable initiatives, food drives, and PGA HOPE programs. His belief that golf is a “game for life” is reflected in his tireless work to introduce and engage more players in the sport.
In addition to celebrating Mike’s contributions, we are pleased to recognize the following award winners:
Please join me in celebrating these outstanding professionals throughout the 2025 season and we look forward to officially honoring them at the 2025 Awards Banquet this fall.
Best regards,
