Dear Cape Cod Chapter Members,
It is my great honor to announce the 2025 Cape Cod Chapter Award Winners, a group of outstanding Professionals who continue to make a profound impact on the game of golf and our Chapter. This year, our Chapter’s highest honor, the Gary Philbrick Golf Professional of the Year, has been awarded to Eri Seguin, PGA of Vineyard Golf Club
Eri’s journey in golf began in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, where he began working at a St. Johnsbury Country Club at the age of 14. His passion for the game and his drive has propelled him to an exceptional career thus far, including positions at two of the top 10 golf clubs in the country—Seminole Golf Club and National Golf Links of America—before taking on his role as Head Professional at Vineyard Golf Club in 2014.
Over the past decade, Eri has transformed VGC into a hub for competitive golf. With the support of the Board of Governors and the membership, the club introduced the VGC High School Championship, hosted NEPGA Junior Tour events, and most recently collaborated with Edgartown Golf Club to launch the Vineyard Pro-Pro.
Eri’s impact goes beyond tournament organization—he is a mentor, leader, and advocate for the professional growth of his team. He has guided three Assistant Professionals into Head Professional roles, counseled countless interns and staff members, and continues to support his colleagues both inside and outside the golf industry. His leadership during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic exemplified his adaptability, teamwork, and unwavering commitment to providing an exceptional experience for both staff and members.
In addition to celebrating Eri, we recognize the achievements of other exceptional Cape Cod Chapter Professionals:
Please join me in celebrating these outstanding professionals throughout the 2025 season and we look forward to officially honoring them at the 2025 Awards Banquet this fall.
Respectfully,
Zack Sweet, PGA
