Mashpee, Mass. – The New England PGA hosted the Willowbend Pro-Am in Mashpee, Massachusetts on Monday, June 9th with an 11:00AM shotgun start. 22 teams, led by NEPGA Professionals made the trip to Cape Cod in the 2BB of 4, 1 Gross +1 Net tournament. The Agawam Hunt Team, led by PGA Professional John Simmons, PGA, took home the team title, shooting a combined 10-under, 130, beating out the competition by 3 strokes. Simmons was joined by amateurs Michael Feeney, Garrett Vaslet, and Shaun Jones.

Tom Doherty, PGA (Woodland GC) and Shawn Warren, PGA (Bates College) tied for first in the Individual Professional Division , shooting a +3 73 through 18 holes. Warren started his day on the 9th tee on the Bay course, shooting +1 on his first nine, totaling 15 pars throughout his round. Doherty started on the 3rd hole on the Bog course, and ended his day strong shooting even par in his last 6 holes.

Two Professionals tied for second place overall, four strokes behind the leaders: Matt Lombard, PGA (North Andover CC) and Steve Caruso, PGA (Granite Links GC), shooting a +7, 77 on the day.

Doherty led his group to a solo second place finish in the team division, shooting a combined 7-under, 133.
