Eric Aguiar and his York Golf and Tennis Club team visited the New Hampshire Chapter this week and it paid off. Aguiar fired a 2 under par 69 to finish ahead of all the Professionals in the field, and also led his team of Devin Merritt, Cole Merritt and Tony Sallese to a 6 under par 65 to take the top spot in the team Best Ball Gross division.
Haverhill Country Club Professional, Todd Cook was only one shot back with a 70. Three players tied for third at 73 including Brett Smestad, Rochester CC, Danny Kish, The Indoor Golf Club and Jake Etherton of Manchester CC making his first NH start an impressive one.

Kish’s Indoor Golf Club team also finished second (67) in the Best Ball Gross competition. He was joined by his wife Allison Kish, Kieran Altieri and Jim Tokanel. Four teams tied for third at 68.
Ian Willikens and his Scottish Highlands Team
In the Best Ball Net division, the home teams took advantage of their course knowledge. Scottish Highlands Assistant Professional, Ian Willikens teamed up with Mark Field, John Langella and Bill Warren firing a 10 under par 61 to tie for the top spot with Rochester’s Mitch Jefferson and his squad including Josh Parker, Ray Blood and Jim Cilley. Scottish Highlands Head Professional, Geoff Williams team tied Vince Molesky’s Apple Hill group for third just one shot back.

Thanks to Geoff Williams, PGA and Ian Willikens, PGA and their staff for their hospitality on a spectacular day of weather. Glenn White, GCSAA, who has been at Scottish Highlands since their opening 31 years ago has the course in top condition as always.
Next week the NH Chapter heads west to Bretwood GC in Keene.
