Boylston, Mass. – February 2026

The New England PGA is proud to announce that Mark Aldrich, PGA General Manager/Director of Golf at Whitinsville Golf Club, has been named the Massachusetts Chapter Professional of the Year. This award recognizes a PGA Professional who demonstrates outstanding overall performance, leadership, service, and commitment to the game of golf.

A PGA Member known for his professionalism, integrity, and vision, Mark Aldrich has had a profound impact on his club, his community, and the New England PGA. Over the course of his career, Mark has combined an exceptional knowledge of the game with a deep understanding of golf operations and business management. His ability to foster an inclusive, member-centered environment at Whitinsville Golf Club reflects his dedication to both the sport and the people who love it.

Mark’s leadership at Whitinsville Golf Club has been transformative. Through his innovative programs and strategic thinking, he has created new opportunities for engagement across the membership. His Member Ambassador Program, which connects existing members with new ones to foster community and connection, exemplifies his thoughtful and forward-thinking approach. His leadership and results have earned him a promotion to General Manager/Director of Golf, overseeing all aspects of club operations and guiding Whitinsville Golf Club toward a strong and dynamic future.

“I would like to thank the Whitinsville Golf Club members, Scott Moody, PGA, Jenny Walsh (Assistant Professional) and Heather Pecoraro for all of the opportunities and support that they have given me,” said Aldrich.

Beyond his club responsibilities, Mark has been a dedicated servant-leader within the New England PGA. He has served as Massachusetts Chapter President, Vice President, and Secretary, as well as Massachusetts District Director for the NEPGA from 2018–2024. His service reflects a long-standing commitment to advancing the profession and supporting fellow PGA Members throughout the region.

Mark’s efforts to grow the game are equally impressive. At Whitinsville, he has expanded the club’s junior programs and PGA Junior League, opening participation to children from the local Northbridge community—many of whom do not belong to a private club. As a result, youth participation rose from 41 to 66 junior golfers in just one year. He also championed inclusion by establishing a Ladies League-only membership, creating a welcoming space for women golfers that has already led to membership growth and increased engagement.

A certified PGA HOPE Instructor, Mark donates his time to the program at Kirkbrae Country Club in Rhode Island, supporting veterans through golf instruction and mentorship. Additionally, as a Francis Ouimet Scholarship interviewer, Mark ensures that all eligible Whitinsville employees pursuing higher education apply for this life-changing scholarship opportunity—reinforcing his belief in education, mentorship, and giving back.

Mark’s commitment to excellence has been recognized previously with the 2015 NEPGA Assistant of the Year Award. His leadership, dedication, and impact continue to serve as an inspiration to his peers and a model for PGA Professionals everywhere.

The New England PGA congratulates Mark Aldrich on being named the 2026 Massachusetts Chapter Professional of the Year and thanks him for his service, leadership, and lasting contributions to the game of golf.
