Billy Andrews Posted the Lowest Pro Round of the Year to Date (67)
Billy Andrews from Portsmouth CC birdied his first 4 holes on his way to a 5 under par 67 and a two shot victory at the New Hampshire Chapter of the NEPGA Pro Am this week at Beaver Meadow GC in Concord. Andrews’ round is the lowest Professional round so far this season as he carded 6 birdies and only 1 bogey on the day. Just a couple shots back at 69 was Cory Mansfield from Derryfield. A four way tie for 3rd at 71 included Matt Arvanitis, SNHU Golf Coach, Matt DeLois From About Golf, Todd Rollins of The Ready Golf Center and Joe Finemore from Portsmouth CC.

Brett Smestad’s Rochester teams continue to dominate the Best Ball Gross competitions. This week, Stacy Levesque, Troy Joncas and Jamie Lyndes joined Brett for a 9 under par 63 and a one-shot victory. Four teams tied for 2nd just one shot back at 64 led by Professionals Jay Pollini (The Oaks), Josh Lacasse (Beaver Meadow), Matt DeLois (About Golf) and Chris Houston (Laconia).

Chris Mowers of Nippo Lake and his team of Johnnie Urdahl, Dan Milligan and Chuck Williams combined for a 12 under par 60, to take the team Best Ball Net contest. There was a five-way tie for 2nd at 11 under par 61. Those teams were led by Professionals Cory Mansfield (Derryfield), Phil Davis (Beaver Meadow), Danny Kish (The Indoor Golf Club), Bill Andrews (Portsmouth) and Dan Gillis (NEPGA Life member).

Thanks to our hosts Phil Davis, PGA General Manager, Josh Lacasse, Assistant Professional, Patrick Lanman, Superintendent, and all of the Beaver Meadow staff for their efforts and hospitality. The golf course was in great condition especially considering the severe storms the night before.
