In the first semifinal match, Bob Bruso, PGA (Worcester CC) and Pat Beahn, PGA (Blackstone National) took on Warren and Arvanitis. The round was closely contested with Warren and Arvanitis finishing 3&1 to claim a spot in the 2025 NEPGA, Johnnie-O Pro-Pro Match Play Championship Finals.

Warren had a stand-out round for his team, posting an albatross on the par-5 third hole and chipping in for eagle on the 10th hole.

Kirby and Tramonti, the tournament’s third seed, kicked off the semifinal round with Pete Weatherby, PGA (Green Valley CC) and Curt Goldsberry, PGA (The Quechee Club). After finding themselves down 2 through 13 holes, Kirby and Tramonti battled back to even things out on the 15th hole. The match was all square through 19 holes, before the Kirby/Tramonti duo clinched the victory on their second playoff hole, the par-4 second hole at LeBaron Hills CC.

In the Championship Match, the teams of Warren and Arvanitis and Kirby and Tramonti were all square through nine holes before a birdie by Arvanitis on 10 put them 1Up:  “I think for us making the turn at even in the match and then having Matt birdie #10 was huge for us. That’s one we didn’t want to get away,” said Warren.

Warren went on to birdie 11 and the duo kept cruising from then on out to finish at 4&3 for the victory. The team won back in 2023 and added another Johnnie-O Pro-Pro Match Play Championship to their card.
