
Las Vegas, NV– The Belmont Country Club team, lead by PGA Professional, John Fields, took home a 4-stroke victory in the first week of the 2025 New England PGA Las Vegas Pro-Am, shooting a 3-day total of 39-under par. 17 teams lead by New England PGA Professionals flew out to Las Vegas to compete in the 3-day event. The tournament kicked off on Monday, October 27th at Dragon Ridge, round 2 was played at Reflection Bay, and the week concluded with a round at Las Vegas Country Club on Wednesday, October 29th.
Fields, who was joined by his amateur team of Jeff Black, Tim Acquaviva, and Max Scrodo, held the lead all week, starting off with a 19-under, 125 with 12 birdies on the scorecard through round one. They went on to post a 9-under in round 2 at Reflection Bay, bringing them to a total, 28-under par. The team held onto the lead shooting an 11-under in the final round to finish at 39-under and take home the trophies.
Mitch Jefferson, PGA and his team from Rochester CC along with Paul Parajeckas, PGA and his team from Pleasant Valley CC battled it out for the 2nd and 3rd place spots respectively. Rochester CC sat in 2nd place following round 1, but a 12-under in round 2 for Pleasant Valley bumped them up the leaderboard above Rochester. Rochester’s 15-under in the final round, the lowest of the day, sealed the deal, giving them the solo-second place finish on the week, finishing at 37-under overall. Pleasant Valley shot 7-under in the final round, finishing in solo-third place, at 32-under par.
