David Bennett posted scores of an even par 70 (Dorset Field Club) and a one under 71 (Manchester CC)
to capture his second Vermont PGA Stroke Play Championship in the last three years. In the second round he used impressive birdies at 16 and 17 to hold off a charging David Jankowski. Jankowski ended with a two day total of 144 (+2) finishing in second place. Roger King (150), Jamie Pierson (151), and Peter Weatherby (153) rounded out the top five. Mike Slayton won his second consecutive Senior Championship posting a two day total of (+12) 154. Johnny Cleanthes finished second posting 165. David Jankowski and John Lombardy captured the blind draw pro-pro championship (winning by three strokes) ending with an eye opening seven under 135. David Bennett and Marcus Munsil finished second with a 4 under 138.
