Todd Scarafoni, PGA (Bass Rocks GC) and Liam Friedman, PGA (Wollaston GC) took home 2nd place, 4 strokes behind the leaders at 10-under, 68-66-134. Their bogey-free, 10 birdie round escalated them to the runner-up position.

Berberian and Arvanitis teed off from the seventh hole at 8:30 a.m. In their first nine they went back to back birdies on holes 14 and 15. They caught fire on the 18th hole with a par-4 birdie, and did not let up, firing a 6-straight stretch of birdies on holes 18 through 4.

“This morning we got a run on our back nine,” said Arvanitis. “It’s what got us going…and we went on from there”.

A score of 7-under, 65 on the afternoon tee times sealed the duo’s title defense, starting on hole 10 at 2:00pm and immediately dropping 2 birdies on holes 11 and 12. A 5-under front nine was all they needed to secure first, and cruised through their last nine shooting 2-under.

“[Matt] is always someone I can rely on,” said Berberian. “He’s teeing off first every hole, and he’s getting it in play and that’s huge for me to be confident in my game…playing with Matt makes everything easy.”

Scarafoni and Friedman kicked their first round off from the first tee. 3 birdies on the back and one on the front put them at 4-under, 68 through 18. An instant birdie on hole 14, their second round starting hole, and back to back on the 12th and 13th hole lifted them to a final 10-under, 134, for solo second place.

Beautiful weather flooded the day unlike previous year’s experience, and the rain was able to hold up until the final 30 minutes of the tournament, allowing the full 36 holes to be played
