BOSTON COMMON GOLF LAUNCHES “COMMON GROUND” INITIATIVE TO EXPAND ACCESSIBILITY, ANNOUNCES NEW ENGLAND PGA FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS WITH KEEGAN BRADLEY
Mayor Michelle Wu, PGA TOUR Star Keegan Bradley, and Musician Noah Kahan Gather at George Wright Golf Course to Unveil Community Initiatives and Golf Simulator Donations
BOSTON, MA – Today at the historic George Wright Golf Course, Boston Common Golf officially launched Common Ground, a major community-driven initiative dedicated to lowering barriers of entry and making the game of golf more accessible to young people across the city.
The star-studded event featured Boston Common Golf President and CEO Mark Lev, Boston Mayor Michelle Wu, professional golfer and team member Keegan Bradley, and Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Noah Kahan.
Expanding Access: The “Common Ground” Initiative
Mark Lev introduced Common Ground as the next evolutionary chapter of the commitment made when Fenway Sports Group purchased the Boston Common Golf team in 2023. Over the last three years, the organization has dedicated itself to investing in the local community, which includes donating over 10,000 rounds of golf to area youth. Common Ground will now serve as the centralized platform for all of the team’s ongoing community and youth outreach efforts.

As part of the launch, Boston Common Golf announced a partnership with founding partner Full Swing to donate three state-of-the-art golf simulators to the City of Boston, ensuring year-round play opportunities for youth. One of these simulators will be permanently placed at Boston Latin School—the oldest public high school in the country and the only Boston public school featuring a co-ed varsity golf program.
Investing in the Future: New England PGA Foundation Scholarships Announced
Highlighting the event’s commitment to youth development, Boston Common Golf and Keegan Bradley announced the launch of the New England PGA Foundation Scholarship. Promoted in partnership with PGA REACH New England—the 501(c)(3) charitable foundation of the New England PGA dedicated to positively impacting lives through the game of golf—this new program will make two $5,000 scholarships available for local high school golfers to apply toward their higher education. Bradley, a New England native, spoke passionately about the importance of expanding the sport’s reach to the next generation of players.

The afternoon concluded with youth golfers from the community participating in interactive golf activations, receiving tips from Bradley, Kahan, and representatives of Boston Common Golf, including an appearance highlighting team ambassador and LPGA Tour star Megan Khang’s role in supporting local youth golf growth.
