MARSHFIELD, Mass.- Brockton Country Club’s Rob Bradley and LeBaron Hills Country Club’s Tom Rooney teamed up on Tuesday to shoot a 7-under 63 which resulted in a five-shot victory at the Massachusetts Chapter Spring Meeting Pro-Pro.
Bradley and Rooney made a staggering nine birdies on Marshfield Country Club’s par-70 layout. After making a bogey on their opening hole, Bradley and Rooney birdied five of their next eight holes to go out in 3-under 32. Their back nine included a stretch of five birdies in six holes from holes 13 through 17, some of the hardest on the course.
Following Bradley and Rooney was a three-team tie for second place at 2-under 68. Those teams were Chris Houston & Carter White (Laconia CC), Matt Lombard & Rob Neaton (North Andover CC), and Jim Clay & Andrew Stolze (The Club at New Seabury).
It was a great day at Marshfield CC for the Massachusetts Chapter which also held its Spring Meeting prior to the tournament. Fifty plus Chapter members participated in a new collaborative format focused on important industry topics. It was great to have such a nice gathering to kick off the 2023 season.
