David Jankowski responded to his opening hole double bogey six by rattling off 7 birdies
over his final 17 holes to finish in a tie for first place (-2 70) with the CC of Vermont host
professional David Bennett. David Bennett was sitting at four under par on the 18th tee
before finishing with a disastrous double bogey of his own. Kevin Bennison used an
eagle on the par five 15th hole to propel himself into third place finishing with at two
over 74. Cameron White and Reece Delaire both tied for fourth finishing with scores of
76.
The three teams from Burlington CC took first, second, and third in the team event (1
gross + 1 net). Dave Jankowski ’s team won the event posting an incredible 14 under
130. Kevin Bennison’s team came in second posting an impressive 12 under 132 and
Brennan Earls team finished up the Burlington CC domination posting a nine under 135.
The Vermont Chapter returns to action following the NEPGA Section championship at
Vermont National CC on Monday August 24th. Please note this event is traditionally a
36 hole shotgun event however it is likely it that it will become a double tee 36 hole
