VASSALBORO, ME- Natanis Golf Course played host to the 2022 Maine Chapter Pro-Lady Championship this Thursday as PGA Professional Chris Carrier and his team from Martindale Country Club won with a score of 1-under par.

COMPLETE RESULTS

Carrier was joined on the winning team by Martindale members Carol Burnham, Melissa Johnson, and Danielle Rock. The foursome was the lone team to finish under par in the 2 BB of 4 Gross contest, as they narrowly edged out PGA Professional Eric Higgins and Webhannet Golf Club.

Martindale had a solid front nine going out in 1-over 73 with a birdie and two bogeys on their card. The back nine is ultimately where they hit their stride making back-to-back birdies on the 10th and 11th holes before making an eagle on the par-4 16th to get them to 3-under par on the round. Bogeys on the final two holes saw their score drop to 1-under but their overall strong play was enough to take home the victory.

In the 2 BB of 4 Net competition John Hickson and Northport Golf Course went low with a combined score of -19-under 125. Hickson and teammates Leslie Eaton, Sheila Marriner, and Kelsey Richards combined to make 6 birdies and 6 eagles to go along with only a single bogey.

Hickson’s strong play carried over to the individual professional leaderboard where he again finished in 1st place with a round of 5-under 67. Chris Carrier finished 3 shots behind at 2-under par, followed by Waterville CC’s Don Roberts who finished at 1-over par.

Thank you to Natanis Golf Course and Head Professional Richard Browne, PGA, for hosting the Maine Chapter and to our partner LeAnna Tapp and PING!
