What is the name of the organization or program you would like to highlight?

“The most fun and rewarding day of the entire golf season every year is the Birdies 2 Benefit Fundraiser. 2026 will be my fifth year playing in the event with fellow PGA professionals Nathan Myers and Rob Neaton. All money raised benefits Boston Children’s Hospital and Special Olympics-Massachusetts. Throughout the day we get to meet so many special people involved with both organizations and get a firsthand look at how our efforts are supporting them. I highly encourage getting involved in the event if you haven’t in the past through playing or supporting a fellow NEPGA professional.”

What is the most rewarding thing about giving back to the community?

“Golf has given me so much in my life, it is a privilege to be in a position to give back through the game. The most rewarding part is being able to meet people that are directly impacted by the charity’s work; Children’s Hospital patients, Special Olympians, Francis Ouimet scholars and PGA Junior Leaguers. Getting to know their stories and how much they appreciate the work being done for them is humbling and gratifying. Seeing the generosity of others is always a great part of the process as well. I ask for a lot of support from friends, family members and club members and their charitable support amazes me.”

What other organizations do you support?

“I have supported the Francis Ouimet Scholarship Foundation by running the Boston Marathon with the team in 2015 and being an active participant in their scholarship interview process. We are always proud to have scholars working for our golf operations team at North Andover Country Club. Since 2022, North Andover has hosted a 100 Hole Marathon supporting Golf Fights Cancer and One Summit, a pediatric cancer support organization.”

How do you determine which charities to support?

“When my dad passed away from cancer in 2013, I decided that I wanted to run the Boston Marathon in his honor. The Ouimet Scholarship Foundation gave me that opportunity and was a perfect fit as my dad and I’s bond was strengthened by our love for the game of golf. Since then, I have made it a priority to support the Foundation whenever possible. I was lucky to be a part of the Growth of the Game Committee that spent time with children at Children’s Hospital. When the NEPGA introduced the amazing opportunity to play in Birdies 2 Benefit I knew it was something that I wanted to be a part of. The 100 Hole Marathon was brought to me by a NACC member who was closely related to the One Summit organization, another charity that was a no-brainer to want to help support.”

Any recommendations on how someone can start to support their community?

“My first piece of advice would be to find a cause that is important to you. That makes the work more rewarding. From there, just ask. Charity organizations will never say no to your support!”
