Nate Myers (Ipswich CC), Michael Esworthy (Weston GC), and Greg Kelly (Myopia Hunt Club) claimed a share of second place, shooting 2-over 72’s on the day.

Ciolino birdied the first hole and par-3 ninth hole to make the turn at 1-under. A birdie on the par-4 10th hole moved him to 2-under. Six pars and two bogeys finished him at the even-par 70 to take home the victory.

After three bogeys on the opening nine holes of the day, Bond posted back-to-back birdies on holes 10 and 11 to move to 1-over through 11. A bogey on the par-4 13th hole put him back at 2-over, but he clinched second place with one final birdie on the par-4 17th hole to close out the round at 1-over, 71, overall.

Myers made the turn at 3-over with a birdie on the par-3 sixth hole. A strong start on the back nine, with birdies on holes 10 and 11 moved him to just 1-over. Myers carded one more birdie on the par-3 14th hole, but bogeys on 12 and 16 ultimately left him at 2-over in the three-way tie for the second spot.

Esworthy made the turn at 2-over and also carded birdies on the par-4 10th and par-5 11th hole. Bogeys on 14 and 15 gave him the final 2-over with Myers and Kelly.

Kelly was even on the front nine and carded two birdies on the day to finish in the share for second place overall.

It was a beautiful day at Marshfield Country Club, but the high winds proved to be a challenge for 18 holes of golf on Thursday.

Thank you to Marshfield Country Club Director of Operations James Antonelli, PGA, Head Golf Professional Alec Vozzella, Superintendent Tom Harrington, and the entire MCC staff for hosting the 2023 Hudson Cup.
