The NHC/NEPGA Pro am circuit made its’ weekly stop at Cochecho CC in Dover. Rain was forecast a few days ago, but again the forecast was wrong. A warm fall day greeted the 31 teams (124 players) that came to compete in todays tournament. The team format today is 1 BB Gross or 1 BB Net.
The gross contest saw the team from Portsmouth led by Bill Andrews came in with an impressive 11 under par 59 to take the top spot. Bill’s team was Scott Fabisak, Stacy Levesque, & Peter Keilty. They made nine birdies and one eagle as a team to score that 59. The team from Rochester came in with an 8 under 62 to be in second place. That team was led by Brett Smestad with teammates Mike Mahan, Troy Joncas, and Jeff Barnes.
The net contest winning team was from Cochecho, they shot a 12 under 58 to take the top honors. The team was led by Lucas Langelier, his teammates were Kurt Eddins, Colin Campbell, and Michael MacVane. There were 3 teams tied for 2nd place. They were the teams of Tim Loch/Cochecho, Cory Mansfield/Derryfield, and Soderman/Hoodkroft.
The pro division Lucas Langelier of Cochecho and Dan Wilkins of Laconia shot a pair of 2 under par 68’s to tie for the top spot. Bill Andrews of Portsmouth came in at even par 70 to come in 3rd. Brett Smestad of Rochester shot a 1 over 71 to place 4th. Dan Kish of Atkinson and Sam Read of Den Brae both shot 72 to tie for 5th place. Ryan Peffer of Lynx Golf shot 74 to end up 7th. There was a 6 way tie for 8th place with the score of 75. They were Jay Pollini of Ridgewood, Cory Mansfield of Derryfield, Nate Faulkner of Keene, Ben Stone of Derryfield, Mitch Jefferson of Rochester, and Aaron Kingsley of Sunapee.
