The New Hampshire Chapter of the New England PGA returned to Bretwood Golf Course in Keene and was treated to a spectacular day. The weather was perfect, and the players couldn’t say enough good things about the condition of the golf course. Many thanks to John (JP) Pawlak, PGA Director of Golf, Jonas Maynard, Superintendent and Matt Barrett, PGA Life Member and owner of Bretwood for their hospitality.

Sam Cody of Stonebridge, CC continued his fine play as he and Mitch Jefferson, Rochester CC tied for Low Professional honors at 2 under par 70. Cory Mansfield, Derryfield CC, Danny Kish, The Indoor Golf Club and Billy Andrews, Portsmouth CC all tied for third place with an even par 72.

Mitch Jefferson also captained his Rochester CC team to the Best Ball Gross victory firing a 10 under par 62. He was joined by Jose Johnson, Josh Parker and Jim Cilley. Danny Kish, The Indoor Golf Club, and his teammates, Allison Wilkins, Sam Fuller and Nick Stefanelli were one shot back at 63. Cory Mansfield, Derryfield CC, along with Scott Kenniston, Jen Mansfield and Jake Vire finished third at 65.

The Best Ball Net competition saw a tie for the top spot at 13 under par 59. Jason Malcolm, Sky Meadow CC, and his team of Kevin Burke, Bo Harris and Chris Butcher tied with Patrick McDole, Wachusett CC, and his squad of Sean Gaffney, Peter Bourn and Jay Smith. Two teams tied for 3rd at 61.

The NH Chapter will be hosting the New England PGA Section Pro Am at Portsmouth next week before it returns to it’s regular schedule at Concord CC on May 20.
