Stonebridge’s Sam Cody fired a 4 under par 68, topping all Professionals in the field at this week’s NHPGA Pro Am at the beautiful Mount Washington Resort Golf Course in Bretton Woods, NH. Cody birdied 3 of the first 6 holes of his round and added 3 more on the back nine to secure his win. Five players broke par on the day including Dan Wilkins of Laconia (69) and Vince Molesky from Apple Hill (70). Matt DeLois of About Golf and Todd Rollins from The Ready Golf Center rounded out the top 5 at 71.

The gorgeous mountain backdrop provided spectacular views and protection as the threatening thunderstorms somehow circled the golf course but stayed far enough away to allow play to continue. Thanks to Vince Runyon, PGA Director of Golf and his staff for keeping us well informed about the weather situation and being on top of the storm tracks.

Matt DeLois and his team were victorious in the Best Ball Gross portion of the event combining for a 9 under par 63. DeLois was joined by Jim Cilley, Dan Doyle and Dan Papst. Tying for 2nd were Bill Andrews’ Portsmouth CC team of Stacy Levesque, Jamie Lyons and Brian Blanchette along with Laconia’s Patrick Hesseltine’s team consisting of Curtis Mailloux, Bill Raney and Tommy Dowell at 65.

Matt DeLois Fishing Off His Round of 71 Leading His Team to a Win

Mitch Jefferson and his Rochester team switched sides this week and took the Best Ball Net competition with a 13 under par 59. Jose Johnson, Josh Parker and Raymond Blood all contributed to the Rochester win. Joe Finemore of Portsmouth CC combined with Colie Ryan, Chip Martin and Rich Longuil for an 11 under par 61 to take the runner up spot. Four teams tied for 3rd at 62  led by Vince Molesky of Apple Hill, Dan Wilkins of Laconia, Eric Soderman of Hoodkroft and Walter Reeves of Canterbury Woods.
