North Dartmouth, Mass. – The New England PGA hosted the 2025 Pro-Pro Championship at The Country Club of New Bedford on a beautiful early October day. 22 teams came out to play in the 18-Hole, Four-Ball Stroke Play event. The round was held as a shotgun start at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 6th. The NEPGA welcomed partners: Donald Ross, DASHCLIP, and Prize Possessions.
The team of James Damiano, PGA (Salem CC) and Frank Leja, PGA (The Club at New Seabury) took home the victory, shooting a 6-under, 64 for the top spot on the leaderboard. The duo started the tournament on the 14th hole, posting an early birdie on the par-4. They were 3-under through the opening nine holes of the day before posting three more birdies over the final nine to take the1-stroke win.
The duo of Kyle Puzzo, PGA (Weston GC) and Aaron Walker, PGA (Worcester CC) along with the team of Matt Zdon, PGA (Belmont CC) and Eric Barlow, PGA (Winchester CC) tied for the second place spot, just one stroke behind the leaders, finishing the round at 5-under, 65.
Puzzo and Walker started the round on the 15th hole and made the turn at 1-under with birdies on 18, 1, and 5, all par-4s. The posted four more birdies through their final nine holes, finishing strong with bridies on the final two holes, the par-4 13th and 14th holes to finish at 5-under overall.
Barlow and Zdon teed off on the 18th hole to start the round. They posted four birdies through their opening nine holes, with three in a row on 1, 2, and 3, all par-4s. Birdies on the par-4 11th and 14th holes moved them to 6-under with three holes to play, but a bogey on the par-3 15th hole left them at 5-under in the share for second place overall.
