Waterbury, VT – The Vermont Chapter made its way to the Country Club of Vermont yesterday for another stop on the 2025 Pro-Am series. Tucked into the hills of Waterbury, Country Club of Vermont delivered once again as one of the most scenic and highest-rated courses in the state. With 30 teams in the field and summer heat settling in, the day was both a challenge and a treat for professionals and their amateurs from across New England. We had teams from Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont vying for top spot in one of the highest attended events of the season.

In the team best ball competition, it was the squad from Dedham Country and Polo Club in Dedham, Massachusetts, led by Steven Daly and supported by amateurs Ryan Cummings, Rob Clancy, and Michael Bunar, who fired an impressive 16-under-par 128 to take the title. Golf Garage VT, led by David Jankowski, and Southern New Hampshire University, led by Matt Arvanitis, tied for second at 131, just three shots back.

In the individual professional division, it was David Jankowski of Golf Garage VT who claimed the top spot over superb play from the rest of the field with a superb five-under-par 67. Matt Arvanitis of Southern New Hampshire University finished solo second with a four-under-par 68, while Josh Upson, one of our generous host professionals, posted a three-under 69 to take third. Kevin Bennison of Burlington Country Club shot even par to finish fourth, and a tie for fifth included Jason Sherman and Curt Goldsberry at one-over 73.

The Vermont Chapter extends its sincere thanks to General Manager Josh Upson, Head Professional Andy Treen, and the entire staff at Country Club of Vermont for their tremendous hospitality and for preparing the course to such a high standard. Despite the heat, the course was in excellent condition and the views alone were worth the trip.

Next up, the Vermont Chapter heads to Neshobe Golf Club on July 21 for the Casella Waste Management Pro-Am.
