PLYMOUTH, Mass. – The father-son duo of Frank Dully, PGA (Kernwood, CC) and Sean Dully teamed up to shoot 5-under par 64 and win the New England PGA Pro + 1-Am at Plymouth Country Club on Monday.
The pair went bogey-free in the four-ball stroke play format and finished each side strong, recording birdies on the 6th, 9th, 10th, 16th and 18th holes to finish one shot ahead of five teams who tied for second at 4-under par.
The five-way tie for second in the gross competition included Matt Arvanitis, PGA (Southern New Hampshire University) and Matt Burroughs, Bryan Hunt, PGA (’47 Brand) and Dylan Evans, Curtis Goldsberry (Quechee Club) and Pat Pelletier, Nick Jagoe, PGA (Allendale CC) and Kevin Silva, and John Hickson, PGA (Chequesset Y&CC) and Michael Silva.
Matt Baran, PGA (The Ridge Club) was the low individual professional after shooting 3-under par 66 with five birdies and just two bogeys on the scorecard. Baran started strong with birdies on his first two holes and added circles on the 5th, 14th and 16th holes. Hickson shot 2-under par 67 to finish second among the professionals, and Frank Dully and Nick Jagoe tied for third at 1-under par. Five professionals shot even-par 69.
Two teams tied for first at 8-under par in the net division, including the Brockton Country Club duo of Robert Bradley, PGA and Ken May, and the Chequesset pairing of Hickson and Silva.
