FALMOUTH, Mass- The Cape Cod Chapter returned to Sacconnesset Golf Club for this season’s Pro-Am, where a full field of 21 teams took to the course for an exciting day of golf. Conditions were ideal, although tough with the Mass Open set to take place at the club in just a few weeks.

The team led by Dave Einstein of Hyannisport Club came out on top, posting a standout 129 (-15) alongside teammates Pat Tobin, Ryan Kent, and Andy Hillier. Einstein also claimed the low professional round of the day with a 3-under 69 winning by four shots. Einstein was fueled by a tournament high five birdies and was able to limit his mistakes on a challenging day.

Two teams tied for second at 137 (-7): John Simmons (Agawam Hunt Club) with Garrett Vaslet, William Munzert, and Greg Marderosian; and Gregg Richbourg (Cape Cod National) with Ryan Brown, Aron Wegner, and Kathy Brown. Trevor England, representing the host club, led his Sacconnesset team to a T-4 finish at 139 (-5), matching the score posted by Shayne Sakson of Ocean Edge Golf Club’s group.

In the individual professional results, Andrew Stolze (The Club at New Seabury) posted a solid 73 (+1) to finish second, followed by Sakson with 75 (+3). Rounding out the top individual scores were James Cook (The Cape Club) and Greg Kelly (The Bay Club), both with rounds of 76 (+4).

We’d like to thank our partners for the day, Comparion Insurance Agency and Wilson Golf, for their continued support of Cape Cod Chapter events.

A special thank you goes to the Sacconnesset Golf Club staff, including Director of Golf Doug Errhalt, PGA, and Head Golf Professional Trevor England, PGA  for their efforts in hosting another excellent event.
