SALEM, Mass. – 88 players came out to compete in the 2024 NEPGA Pro-Lady Invitational on a picture-perfect summer day at Kernwood Country Club on Thursday, July 18th. The Marlborough Country Club team of Greg Farland, PGA and Grace Farland claimed first place, shooting 2-under 70 in the gross division. This is the second year in a row the Farland duo took home the Pro-Lady Invitational title.
The Farland’s teed off from the sixth hole to start the day. They birded the par-5 13th hole and the par-4 15th hole before posting an eagle on the par-5 16th hole. A couple bogeys on the front nine brought them to the final 2-under for the victory.
Three teams tied for second place in the team gross division, finishing at 1-over, 73. The Ridge Club team of Matt Baran, PGA and Sarah Robinson, The Indoor GC duo of Danny Kish, PGA and Allison Wilkins, Seul-Ki Hawley, PGA and Christine Mandile from Winchester CC, and David Dionne, PGA and Lauren O’Brien from the Beverly Golf & Tennis Club rounded out the ties for second place.
Baran & Robinson and Hawley & Mandile finished the round with 4 birdies each while Kish & Wilkins and Dionne & O’Brien carded three birdies each as a team.
Baran and Robinson from the Ridge Club claimed first place in the Team Net division, shooting 7-under, 65. Beverly Golf & Tennis Club and Marlborough CC teams followed in 2nd and 3rd place respectively in the Net field.
