Salem, Mass.- 96 players came out to compete in the 2023 NEPGA Pro-Lady Invitational on a beautiful summer day at Kernwood Country Club on Monday. The Marlborough Country Club team of Greg Farland, PGA and Grace Farland claimed first place, shooting one-over 71 in the gross division.

The Farland’s birdied the very first hole of the day which is a par-5 at Kernwood.  Bogeys on the seventh and eighth holes put them at one-over making the turn. The duo turned the heat up, carding three birdies through the first four holes of the back-nine. They finished the back shooting an even-par 35 to finish one-over for the title.

Danny Kish, PGA and his partner, Allison Wilkins, from the Indoor Golf Club, shot a two-over 72 to claim solo second place in the gross division. Kish and Wilkins started the day on the 6th hole. They carded a birdie and an eagle through the first nine holes, making the turn at 1-under. A double-bogey on the par-4 18th hole set them back to one-over, and two more bogeys on one and four put them at three-over with one hole to play. The duo clinched a birdie on the par-4 fifth hole to capture the final two-over, 72 for second place.

The Winchester Country Club, defending champions, team of Seul-Ki Hawley and Christine Mandile, and the TPC Boston team of Don Baldassare, PGA and Kim Zenisky, shot gross scores of three-over, 73, to share third place on the scoreboard.

Hawley and Mandile started the day on the 8th hole. Despite a birdie on the par-5 13th hole, the duo made the turn at three-over. They parred the final nine holes of the day to stay at +3 and clinch a share of third place.

Baldassare and Zenisky started the day on the 6th hole with Kish and Wilkins. They shot even-par on the opening nine holes of the day. They carded one birdie and four bogeys on the final nine holes, to finish three-over overall and tied for third place.

The Kernwood CC team of host PGA Professional, Frank Dully and Cathy Marquardt and the Tedesco CC team of Ronald Coiro and Kym Pappathanasi tied for fifth place overall, shooting five-over, 75s.
