LITTLE COMPTON, RI- Wollaston Golf Club’s Liam Friedman and Jeff Martin combined to shoot a score of 9-under 61 to win the Rhode Island Chapter’s Sakonnet Pro-Pro. The oceanside gem hosted the Rhode Island Chapter’s first event of the season with a field of 56 PGA Professionals.

COMPLETE RESULTS

The Wollaston duo caught fire right from the first shots of the day, recording birdies on holes 1, 3, 4, 5, 8, and 9 to make the run at an remarkable 6-under 28. They continued their strong play on the back nine making three birdies and six pars to complete their round of 9-under par.

In second place was the team of Bob Tramonti (Triggs Memorial GC) and Kirk Hanefeld (Salem CC). Tramonti and Hanefeld finished the day at 5-under 65 edging out the teams of Zach Girouard & Tyler Sprague (Old Sandwich GC) and Andy Lane & Kyle Puzzo (Worcester CC) both of whom finished at 4-under 66.
