Waterbury, VT – The Vermont Chapter returned to the Country Club of Vermont on Monday for another memorable stop on the 2026 tournament schedule. With excellent course conditions, a strong field, and plenty of quality golf throughout the day, CCVT once again proved to be an outstanding host for one of the Chapter’s premier events.
The individual professional competition produced a pair of standout rounds, as Curt Goldsberry and Jackson King each fired a 7-under-par 65 to share the title.
Both players took full advantage of their scoring opportunities and finished five shots clear of the next closest competitors. Their matching rounds highlighted an impressive day of play on a course that continued to demand accuracy and smart decision-making from start to finish.
Host professional Josh Upson and Golf Garage’s David Jankowski finished tied for third after rounds of 2-under-par 70. Kenneth Hamel followed with an even-par 72, while Mike Slayton finished one shot behind him with a 73. Pat Pelletier, Sam Holden, and John Paul rounded out the top seven after each carded a 2-over-par 74.
The team competition was equally competitive, with Ekwanok Country Club earning the top spot behind the play of John Sikes, Reece de Castro, and recently crowned Vermont Amateur Champion, Lucas Politano.
The Club at Spruce Peak, represented by Kris Cauchon, David Kalil, and Richard Walker, finished second, while the Golf Garage VT team of Evan Loschiavo, Seth Anderson, and Dave Evarts claimed third.
Crown Point Country Club and The Quechee Club shared fourth place, followed by the host team from the Country Club of Vermont. The Kwini Club and Ryderbrook Golf Club completed the group of top team finishers.
The amateur skins competitions also featured several strong performances. Adam Whalley and Vince Kott recorded gross skins, while Whalley, Kott, and Connor Kelley each earned net skins during the round.
A huge thank you goes to Josh Upson, Andy Treen, and the entire Country Club of Vermont staff for their preparation and hospitality. CCVT was once again in outstanding condition and provided a tremendous setting for the Vermont Chapter field.
The Chapter would also like to recognize Golf Garage and Fore.TV for their support of the event. Golf Garage continues to be an important partner in growing and supporting golf throughout Vermont, while Fore.TV helped bring the day to life through its coverage, photography, and video content.
With great scoring, a pair of deserving champions, and another excellent experience at CCVT, Monday’s Pro-Am was a memorable addition to the Vermont Chapter schedule.
