Brandon, VT – Thank you to everyone who joined us at Neshobe Golf Club for another outstanding day on the Vermont Chapter schedule. Neshobe continues to be one of our most popular stops each season, and Monday was no exception. Excellent course conditions, beautiful weather and a strong field made for a fantastic day of golf.
A huge thank you to Jon Milne and the entire Neshobe Golf Club staff for their hospitality and preparation. We are also incredibly appreciative of Jon Milne and Milne Golf, as well as Mike Behan and W&B Golf Carts for their generous support of the event. Their sponsorship helped us increase the professional purse and further elevate one of the Chapter’s favorite tournaments.
In the Individual Professional competition, Curt Goldsberry of The Quechee Club earned medalist honors with a 2-under-par 70. Goldsberry continued his impressive run of play this season, following his 65 at the Country Club of Vermont.
David Jankowski of Golf Garage VT and Mike Slayton of Ryderbrook Golf Club shared second place at 1-under-par 71, while Jackson King of Newport Country Club finished fourth at even-par 72. Vince Molesky rounded out the top five with a 2-over-par 74.
The team competition provided plenty of excitement, with The Quechee Club team of Curt Goldsberry, Sebastian Pell, Vermont Amateur Champion Lucas Politano and Garren Poirier claiming the title at an impressive 18-under-par.
Just one shot behind was the Golf Garage VT team of David Jankowski, Alex Leonard, Craig Oshkello and Austin Giroux, finishing at 17-under. Newport Country Club and Links at Lang Farm shared third place after matching rounds of 8-under.
Congratulations to all of Monday’s winners and thank you to everyone who made the trip to Brandon. Events like Neshobe continue to showcase the camaraderie and competitive spirit that make the Vermont Chapter so special.
