SALEM, Mass – 106 players came out to compete in the 2025 NEPGA Pro-Lady Invitational on a hot summer day at Kernwood Country Club on Thursday, July 17th. The Haverhill Country Club team of Todd Cook, PGA and Kim Grady claimed first place, shooting 2-over, 72 in the gross division. The event was played as an 18-hole Stroke Play, better ball – alternate shot tournament. The shotgun went off at 8:00 a.m.
The Haverhill duo teed off from the 350-yard par-4, 2nd hole and started the day with a par. They went on to card a birdie on the par-4 3rd hole, but bogeys on the par-4 7th and 8th holes but them at 1-over through their opening nine. After bogeys on 16 and 18 put them at 3-over, a round-saving birdie on their final hole of the day, the par-5 1st hole, lifted them to the top spot on the leaderboard.
Four teams tied for second place in the team gross division, finishing at 3-over, 73. The Indoor Golf Club team of Danny Kish, PGA and Allison Kish, the Weston GC team of Malcolm Oliver, PGA and Elise Bain, the Tedesco duo of Ron Coiro, PGA and Kym Pappathanasi, and the team from The Country Club led by PGA Professional, Nate Erdtmann and his partner, Nina McGrath.
The Kish team’s scorecard was highlighted by an eagle on the par-5 13th hole as well as birdies on 6 and 17. Oliver and Bain carded two birdies on the day, both on par-4’s, holes 2 and 4. Coiro and Pappathanasi also put up two birdies on the day, one on the 1st hole and one on the 13th. The Country Club Team led by Erdtmann, picked up one birdie as they made the turn on the par-3 ninth hole.
Four teams also tied for first place in the Team Net division shooting 4-under, 68s: Cook and Grady from Haverhill, Erdtmann and McGrath from The Country Club, Kevin Wood, PGA and Andrea Bruno from Salem CC, and the Bruso Team from Worcester Country Club led by Bob Bruso, PGA and Stephanie Bruso.
