ORLANDO – The 2020 New England PGA tournament season officially teed off on Saturday with the Disney Winter Pro-Pro at Disney’s Magnolia.

John Hickson, PGA (Mere Creek) teamed with Tim Polce, PGA to shoot 8-under par 64 to win by one stroke. Hickson and Polce shot 32 on each side to hold off David Jankowski, PGA (Burlington) and Rico Riciputi, PGA (Wentworth By The Sea), who shot 32-33 to finish at 7-under par.

Marshfield CC’s James Antonelli, PGA and Alec Vozella, PGA tied Cape Cod National’s Zachary Sweet, PGA and Gregg Richbourgh, PGA in third place at 5-under par 67. Nick Jagoe, PGA (Allendale) and Shawn Warren, PGA (Falmouth CC) also cashed a check, finishing fifth in the 18-team field at 4-under par.

The tournament came on the heels of the 2020 PGA Show in Orlando, which concluded Friday. The NEPGA will head to Pinehurst for a Pro-Am in late March before the local tournament schedule starts with the Pro-Pro Scramble on April 16 at Hatherly CC.
