The New England PGA and the Vermont Chapter are excited to announce the hire of Sam Holden as the Chapter’s new Tournament Manager.
In his role as Tournament Manager, Sam will oversee all on-site tournament operations and ensure the Vermont Chapter continues the high standard of their tournament program. He will also play a key role in the Chapter’s social media event coverage and post-event communications. Sam will coordinate with NEPGA Director of Tournament Operations, Casey Litwack, who will continue to oversee pre-tournament administration with host professionals and facilities.
“We are thrilled to welcome Sam to the NEPGA team,” said Executive Director Mike Higgins. “Sam’s passion for the game and experience in the golf industry make him a fantastic addition to our team. We are excited for him to create the best possible tournament experiences for our PGA Professionals in the Chapter.”
Sam brings a diverse background in golf operations, with experience in outside operations, caddying, event management, and member services. Sam has worked at prestigious clubs in his home state of North Carolina, including Quail Hollow Club, Hound Ears Club, and Old Chatham Golf Club.
A transplant from North Carolina, Sam graduated from Appalachian State University in 2019, and from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2021 with his master’s degree. Sam lives in the greater Burlington, Vermont area with his partner, Emma, and plans to keeps a busy competitive amateur golf schedule when he is not running tournaments for the Vermont Chapter.
