Chris Houston from Laconia Country Club fired a 4 under par 67, to take the Low Professional title at Campbell’s Scottish Highlands GC in Salem, NH on Monday. Houston rallied for five birdies and only one bogey and was 2 under par on each nine at this week’s New Hampshire Chapter of the New England PGA Pro Am. Brett Smestad of Rochester CC had the only other sub-par round finishing second at 70. Tim Kapetenakis from Nashua CC had his best tournament so far, finishing third at even par 71. Ricky Gray of Sky Meadow was fourth at 72, while Danny Kish of The Indoor Golf Club rounded out the top five at 73.
Houston also led his Laconia CC team to the Pro-Am Best Ball Gross win with an 8 under par 63. He got help from teammates Bill Raney, Tom Dowell and Curtis Mailloux. Lewis Pattullo’s Nashua CC group was one stroke back at 64. Five teams tied for third at 65.

Meanwhile Kish and his Indoor Golf Club partners Jody Letendre, Trevor Devitto and Kevin Rodgers combined for a 12 under par 59 to top the field in the Best Ball Net competition. Kapetanakis’ Nashua CC team tied for second with Steve Lundquist and his Apple Hill gang just one shot back.
