Chris Houston (Laconia CC) had a day to remember at the NHPGA stop at Nashua Country Club on Monday. First, he put together a round of 4 under par-67 for a convincing Low Professional victory. He also led his team of amateurs to the Best Ball Gross win with a 10 under par 61. He then put an exclamation point on the day by pouring a 4 iron into the cup for an Ace on the difficult 225-yard 14th hole. The Hole In One was his second eagle on the day to go with a 3-hole run of birdies on holes 3 through 5. Danny Kish (The Indoor Golf Club) was alone in second at 70 followed by Tim Riese (Pease GC) at Even Par 71. Five players tied for 4th including Pat Pelletier (Crown Point VT), Dan Wilkins (Laconia CC), Jay Pollini (The Oaks), Ricky Gray (Sky Meadow) and Kristy Gleason (Kingswood).

With his finish, Pollini clinched his third Davis and Towle Insurance NHPGA Player of the Year in the last four years. Cory Mansfield (Derryfield CC) holds a slim 5-point lead over Dan Wikins for second place with 3 events remaining.

Houston was assisted by partners Bill Raney, Nick Sceggell and Jeff Morrill on the way to the team Gross win. The squads led by Riese, Trevor Moore (Beaver Meadow) and Kish all tied for second at 64.

A picture-perfect day greeted our 132 players to this impeccably groomed golf course. Thanks to our hosts, Jason Hurd, Jeff Wirbal, Tim Kapetanakis and Greg Hollick, Superintendent and all of the staff at Nashua CC.
