Auburndale, Mass. – The New England PGA Section hosted the 2025 Pro-Superintendent Invitational on a rainy Monday, October 20th at Woodland Golf Club. 29 teams of New England Section PGA of America Golf Professionals partnered with their club Superintendents, came out to play in the two-player scramble tournament on a rainy and cool October day. The round was set to start as a 10:00 a.m. shotgun, but due to the weather the field enjoyed some lunch when arriving at the course and headed out at 1:15 p.m.

The Hyannisport Club team of Dave Einstein, PGA and David Kennedy as well as the duo from Blackstone National of Pat Beahn, PGA and Steve Lemieux tied for first place in the Gross Division, posting 9-under, 63s.

Einstein and Kennedy started the round on the 10th hole. Five birdies through their opening nine holes put them at 5-under making the turn. They posted their first two birdies of the day on the 11th and 12th holes, both par-5s. Holes 14, 16, and 18, all par-4s, are where they locked in the other three birdies in the opening nine. Birdies on the par-4 1st, 3rd, 6th, and 8th holes gave them the final 9-under for the share of the victory.

Beahn and Lemieux from Blackstone National started the round with a birdie on the par-3 15th hole. Birdies on the par-4 2nd and 3rd holes put them at 3-under through their opening nine holes. A run of birdies on holes 6 though 8 moved them to 6-under with 6 holes to play. They posted three more birdies on holes 10, 11, and 13 to close out the round at 9-under overall in a tie for the top spot at the leaderboard.

The Woodland GC team of Assistant Professional, Andie Shukow and her teammate Declan Tolman along with the Oakley CC team of Scott Johnson, PGA and Pat Lange, took home a share of third place in the Gross Division, shooting 6-under, 66.
