Derryfield’s Cory Mansfield continued his solid season by firing a 1 over par 71 and winning the Low Professional honors for the second time in three weeks at the Owl’s Nest Vineyard Course in Ashland, NH. The NHPGA returned to the former White Mountain Country Club for the first time in several years, and the first since the Owl’s Nest Resort took over in 2022. With his win, Mansfield retains his second-place position in the Davis and Towle Insurance Player of the Year race, currently led by Jay Pollini (The Oaks) who finished in a tie for second at 72 with Laconia’s Dan Wilkins. Wilkins has a solid hold on the third spot in the standings. Trevor Moore (Beaver Meadow) was fourth at 73 followed by Host Professional Bailey Nangle at 74.

Eric Soderman led his Hoodkroft CC foursome to victory in the Pro-Am Team category by combining for a Best Ball Gross and Net score of 8 under par 132. Soderman was joined by his loyal teammates Ryan Curtin, Jim Tokanel and Brian Nadeau. Two teams tied for second place just one stroke back including Ryan Peffer’s Profile group and Wilkins’ Laconia squad.

Big thanks to Head Professional Bailey Nangle, Superintendent Zach Parsons and all the staff at The Owl’s Nest Vineyard Course for a fantastic fall day. So many of the players who hadn’t seen this facility in many years were so happy to be back and were sharing stories of the past. Shout out to Bob and Cindy from the Pemi Burger Bar who had a full house of players and locals on hand for their unbeatable Monday Burger Special which is a huge hit.

Jake Etherton (Manchester CC), Danny Kish (The Indoor Golf Club), Mitch Jefferson (Rochester CC) and Greg Sandell will face off for the title.
