STOWE, Vt. – It was a career day for Golf Garage VT’s David Jankowski who won the VT Pro-Senior at Stowe CC with a score of 10-under par 62.
Jankowski wasted no time starting his incredible round, with a torrid stretch on holes 2 through 8 making seven birdies and an eagle on the par-5 6th hole. That stretch along with pars on the 1st and 9th hole were good for a front nine score of 8-under 28.
Jankowski made two more birdies on the 10th and 11th to open his back nine and get to 10 under par. His lone bogey of the day came on the 15th hole but he was able to respond with a birdie on the par 4 18th hole to secure his round of 10-under par. Jankowski’s 62 was two shots off of the course record of 60 held by Max Major.
Finishing in second place in the individual professional was David Bennett (CC of Vermont) with a round of 3-under 69 followed by John Paul (Kwiniaska GC) who finished at 1-over 73.
In the 2 BB of 4 Gross competition Jankowski and Golf Garage VT once again came out on top with a score of 14-under 130. In a close second place was Brattleboro Country Club led by PGA Professional Mike Zaranek.
The 2 BB of 4 Net finished in a two-way tie between Stowe CC (Dan Ruane) and Williston GC (Toby Young). Both teams finished at 9-under par.
