Mitch Jefferson fired a 5 under par 67 on his home track to take a convincing victory at this week’s New Hampshire PGA Pro Am stop at Rochester Country Club. Jefferson blistered the back nine with a 6 under par 30, including a hole out eagle on #8, on his way to the win. Todd Rollins of the Ready Golf Center and Dan Wilkins of Laconia tied for second at 72, followed by Rich Berberian of Vesper at 73. Jason Malcom rounded out the top 5 with 74. With the finish, Malcolm holds a slim lead over Wilkins, who is quickly rising up the rankings, and Portsmouth’s Joe Finemore in the Davis and Towle Insurance Player of the Year points race.

Jefferson also captained his Rochester amateurs to the win in the Best Ball Gross competition. He combined with Josh Parker, Kory Ferullo and Cody Stevens for an 11 under par 61 and a 4 shot victory over runners up Pat Thornell and his Oaks team. Matt Renfors’ Beaver Meadow group tied with Brett Smestad’s Rochester squad for 3rd at 6 under par 66.

Rollins and his Ready Golf Center team of Evan Rollins, Scott Rollins and Jim Moodie led the way in the Team Net division with an 11 under par 61. They edged out Eric Soderman’s Hoodkroft group and Finemore’s Portsmouth team by one shot, sharing the second place honors.
