Another hot day and greeted the 26 teams that traveled to the western part of the state to compete in the NHC pro am at Keene Country Club on Monday the 21st of June. The players all commented on how good shape the course was in, and how that the greens were sneaky fast.  With the speed and the slope of those greens there were some tricky putts out there.

It was also a special day on the course as PGA Professional Todd Rollins who hit his first hole in one of his career on the 3rd hole. Not to be out done, amateur Tony Fournier of Whip Poor Will scored his 6th hole in one of his career on the tough 17th hole.

The professional contest saw Dan Wilkins of Laconia continue his stellar play this season with a 2 under par 70. He was tied by his fellow Laconian, Todd Rollins, who also came in with a 2 under par 70 highlighted by a hole in one on the 3rd hole. Thomas Smith from Atkinson came in with a 1 under par 71 to come in 3rd. Jason Malcom of Nashua came in with an even par 72 on the tricky layout to place 4th. Steve Hausmann of Amherst shot a 1 over 73 to come in fifth. Jay Pollini, Bill Andrews, Nick Desjardins and Dan Kish came in with 2 over 74’s to tie for 6th place. Eric Aguiar came in with a 75 to round out the top 10.

In the team contest of 1 BB Gross plus 1 BB Net combined the hole in one man Todd Rollins of Laconia led his team to a 14 under 130 to take the top spot. Todd’s team consisted of Evan Rollins, Jim Moodie, and Tim Callahan. The team from  Ridgewood led by PGA Professional Jay Pollini came in at 13 under 131 to take the second place. Jay was joined by teammates Tim Melanson, Ryan Martel, and Thomas Hickey. One shot behind with a 132 was the team from Atkinson led by Thomas Smith. His team consisted of Jack Bushee, Nick Grimbilas, and Sam Goldstein.

Next week the circuit travels to Beaver Meadow in Concord where there is 34 teams scheduled to compete. They take a week off for the 4th of July and then return to Pease Golf Course on the 12th for the pro senior.
