BOYLSTON, Mass. — Glenn Kelly of Woods Hole Golf Club headlines the list of 2022 Cape Cod Chapter Award Winners as the Dutch Wessner Golf Professional of the Year. This is Kelly’s second time receiving this honor, having also been recognized by his peers in 2009.
Kelly first arrived at Woods Hole in April of 1985 when he served as an Assistant Professional to the legendary Dutch Wessner. A year later he was promoted to Head Professional of the club and has held that title ever since.
Kelly has been an influential member during his 36 plus years in the Cape Cod Chapter. He served as Tournament Chairman in the mid to late 80’s and has twice served as the Chapter’s District Director on the New England Section Board. He is currently on the Section’s Finance Committee after previously serving on the Education Committee.
Kelly has no doubt run thousands of successful outings as Head Professional at Woods Hole, but it is the charitable work done at the club that resonated with him the most. “I think what I am most proud of is my Golf Fights Cancer Marathon efforts and the generosity of family, friends and the members at Woods Hole,” said Kelly.
Kelly is one of six individuals to earn recognition for their service and dedication to their profession as the Cape Cod Chapter announced its full slate of 2022 award winners. The Chapter looks forward to celebrating these recipients during the Fall Meeting at The Ridge Club on October 31st.

Cape Cod Chapter Award winners are selected through a thorough process. Nominees are submitted to the Chapter Awards Committee and Board of Directors by a fellow PGA member. Nominees then complete their award application, and the Awards Committee carefully reviews each application before making its recommendations to the Cape Cod Chapter Board of Directors.
