Kirkbrae Country Club, in conjunction with New England PGA Foundation, is pleased to introduce the Stan Baluik Scholarship.
This scholarship is named after longtime PGA Professional Stan Baluik, who distinguished himself as a club professional and competitive golfer throughout his career. Stan was the Head Golf Professional at Kirkbrae Country Club in Lincoln, Rhode Island from 1963-2005 and is a member of the NEPGA Hall of Fame as well as the Rhode Island Golf Hall of Fame.
This $2000 scholarship will be awarded annually to a junior golfer from Northern Rhode Island in an effort to assist him/her in achieving his/her academic goals. Applicants must be residents of one of the towns named below and will be attending an accredited 2-year or 4-year college or university in the Fall of 2019.
Eligibility Requirements are as follows:
- Applicant must be a resident of one of the following towns or cities: Burrillville, Central Falls, Cumberland, Lincoln, North Providence, North Smithfield, Pawtucket, Smithfield, Woonsocket
- Applicant must be enrolled and attend an accredited 2-year or 4-year college or university in the Fall of 2019
- Applicant must be engaged with the game of golf—proof of engagement will be required in a form of recommendation letters from school team coach, PGA professional, or school administrator.
