Danny Kish (The Indoor Golf Club) fired a 1 under par 69 at The Concord Country Club Monday, to win this week’s stop on the NHPGA Tour. Kish posted the only sub-par round of the day, rolling home 4 birdies, highlighted by a 2 under par bogey free back nine. It marked the fourth different Low Professional in four events this season, showing just how competitive and talented these PGA Professionals are.  Derryfield’s Cory Mansfield finished alone in second at even par 70. Erik Lindahl (Montcalm), Brett Smestad (Rochester CC) and Host Professional Brian Moskevich (Concord CC) all tied for third at 72. Kish widened his lead in the early season Davis and Towle Insurance Player of the Year standings, holding a 12-point advantage over Laconia’s Chris Houston.

Tim Riese (Pease GC) captained his team to the victory in the Pro-Am team competition. This week’s format featured a combined 1 best ball gross and 1 best ball net. The Pease squad ended the day at 9 under par 131, good enough for a two-shot victory. Riese was joined by Christina Foote, Chris Johnson and Theron Alex. Brian Moskevich led his home team to a second-place finish. The Concord CC group also included Scott Towle, Ryan Towle and Kyle Knapton. Derryfield’s Steve Poremba and his crew finished third at 134.

Concord CC is always a favorite stop on the New Hampshire schedule, and this year was no different. Thanks to Professionals Brian Moskevich, Tyler Somers and LJ Cangiano and their staff for welcoming us in. Superintendent Dave Ousterhout and his crew had the course in top shape and put on a show with the unmanned robotic mowers. Thanks to the restaurant staff for the fantastic food and service.

Host Professional Brian Moskevich With Our Partners from Davis and Towle Insurance

We couldn’t host an event like this without the generosity of our sponsorship partners. Thank you to Davis and Towle Insurance Group and Concord Group Insurance, whose representatives also joined host Professional Brian Moskevich’s team in the tournament. Also, thanks to John Fagan from Wilson Golf who greeted all players on the first tee and provided us with an official New England PGA logoed basketball for an on-course contest which was won by Vince Molesky, and the Jolly Ranchers which were a big hit. Another thank you to Tom Gallagher of Flash AI Weather who was on hand for the event and hosted a closest to the pin contest for a cooler won by Jim Reid of Stonebridge. Flash AI is the official weather app of the NEPGA.
