Cohasset, Mass. – The NEPGA held the Section’s Pro-Officer Invitational on Monday, September 15th at Cohasset Golf Club in Cohasset, Mass. The day was spectacular as 97 players and 67 teams came out to compete over 18 holes of golf.
Two teams from LeBaron Hills CC took home a share of first place in the 1 Best Ball of 2 Gross division. Tom Rooney, PGA paired up with Tom Coucci and Kyle Potter, and both finished at 4-under, 67 for the victory. The Brockton CC team of Rob Bradley, PGA and Adam Altimas finished in solo third place, shooting 3-uner, 68 in the Gross division. Bradley and Altimas also claimed first place in the net division, finishing at 8-under overall. The Cohasset GC team of Bryan Kienke, PGA and Chris Nelson finished in second place in the Net division, shooting 7-under, 64.
Rooney started the round on the par-4 17th hole. Rooney and Coucci carded six birdies on the day, highlighted by an eagle on the par-4 13th hole. Rooney and Potter also made six birdies and an eagle was marked on the scorecard for the day.
Bradley’s crew started the day on the par-4 11th hole. Bradley and Altimas put up 4 birdies on the day in the gross division, including back-to-back birdies on the par-4 1st hole, and par-3 2nd hole.
In the net division, Bradley and Altimas carded 8 birdies and their scorecard was highlighted by eagles on the par-4 1st and 16th holes.
