LITTLE COMPTON, RI- Sakonnet Golf Club played host to Rhode Island Chapter Pro-Pro on Tuesday presented by Callaway Golf.  Founded in 1899, this Donald Ross classic greeted players with stunning views of the coastline during their round.  Bill Maguire and Nick Jagoe, both from Wanumetonomy G & CC, carded a 4-under 66 to win the Team Fourball competition.

COMPLETE RESULTS

Chris Hulme (Newport National) and Todd Scarafoni (Bass Rocks GC) finished in solo second with a 3-under 67, followed by the team of Shane Drury (Button Hole) and Al Vallante (Harbor Lights G & CC), and the team of John Paesani (The Bay Club at Mattapoisett) and Gregg Richbourg (Cape Cod National GC) who both shot 2-under 68 to tie for third place.

Maguire and Jagoe started off their round with back-to-back pars, before making an eagle on the par 5 3rd hole to quickly move to 2-under.  The duo made six consecutive pars following their eagle to finish the front with a 2-under 32.  On the back, they recorded three birdies to go along with one bogey which was good enough to secure the victory.
