WHITINSVILLE, MA. – The New England PGA hosted the 2023 Whitinsville Pro-Am Championship on June 12th at Whitinsville Golf Club. 28 teams came to tackle the 9-hole course in the 2 best ball of 4, 1 Gross +1 Net Pro-Am event. Each team completed the course twice through, totaling to 18-holes.

The tournament ended with a four-way tie for the Individual Professional Division, all shooting 2-under, 72. Dan Van Heest, PGA, from Newton Commonwealth Golf Course, Kyle Puzzo, from Worcester Country Club, and Thomas Rooney, PGA, from LeBaron Hills Country Club all made 12 out of 18 holes on par, with two birdies and four bogeys each.

Also tying for first place, from Turner Hill Golf and Racquet Club, was Webb Heintzelman, PGA, shooting four birdies, three of which occurred on the first nine of the day.

In team play, both Marlborough Country Club and the Newton Commonwealth Golf Course carded 11-under, 129, leading to a two-way first place tie.

From the Marlborough Country Club, Greg Farland, PGA, Steve Demers, Dan Jenkins, and Steve Weissman helped lead their team to first place with four eagles and and seven birdies to finish the round.

Van Heest, Kevin Osgood, Dave Stowe, and Albie Bargoot came out today representing Newton Commonwealth Golf Club. The team shot 4-under, 66 on the first nine and finished strong on the final nine, shooting 7-under, 63.
